About Me
Hi! I’m Susan, the heart behind The Seaside Collective. I live in beautiful Phuket, Thailand, but my connection to the sea spans my entire life. From California to South Carolina, from Hawaii to Micronesia, and now Thailand, I’ve always found inspiration, peace, and purpose by the ocean.
I’m a mom of five incredible children, all of whom I’ve had the joy of homeschooling, and I’m about to embark on the wonderful adventure of becoming a grandmother. Education has been a lifelong passion of mine, guiding my journey as a holistic nutrition educator, fitness coach, music teacher, and now, as an ESL instructor.
Teaching English as a Second Language has opened up the world to me in ways I never imagined. I feel incredibly fortunate to connect with students of all ages from diverse cultures and walks of life, and this global connection is at the heart of my vision for The Seaside Collective.
When I’m not teaching, homeschooling, or working on wellness goals, you’ll likely find me sipping a cup of coffee—especially a perfectly brewed cappuccino—by the sea, reflecting on life and dreaming up new ideas to share.
