Now that you’re eating those healthy fresh veggies and whole grains, what can you use to liven them up a bit without killing your calorie intake? Try hummus! Hummus is one of my favorite dips, is quite good for you, and is very easy to make. Here’s the recipe for hummus I use. Enjoy!
Recipe For Hummus
1 can garbanzo beans
1 small garlic clove
1 tsp. lemon juice
Dash salt
1 small garlic clove

Drain the garbanzo beans, reserving the liquid. Puree beans, garlic clove, lemon juice, and salt in blender adding the reserved liquid as needed till smooth. More lemon juice, garlic, or salt can be added to taste. Garnish with paprika or other garnish of choice. Serve with fresh raw veggies, whole grain crackers, or pita chips.
