Nothing like curling up on a cold winter’s day with a cup of cocoa so enjoy the holiday season with this delicious, yet healthy, rich Peppermint Hot Cocoa!
1 cup milk of choice (I prefer the unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
1-2 Tbsp raw cacao powder (unsweetened cocoa powder can be used instead) I like to use 2 Tbsp as I prefer the darker, richer, chocolatey taste
1 Tbsp raw honey (or sweetener of choice)
1 drop peppermint extract
Whisk cacao with honey and 2 Tbsp of the milk in saucepan. Turn stove to medium heat and whisk in remaining milk and peppermint extract. Continue stirring till heated through. Do not boil. Makes 1 serving.
